Muanda, August 16th, 2026 (CPA). – One hundred and twenty-four graduates from an accredited private university have been called upon on Saturday to put their knowledge at the service of the community during the graduation ceremony marking the end of the 2025–2026 academic year in Muanda, Kongo Central, in the south-west of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, CPA has noticed.
“Having graduated from CEPROMAD University in Muanda, you now face the important task of putting the knowledge you have acquired to work for the community and acting as ambassadors for your territory, your province and the Republic. Be proud of the knowledge passed on by your lecturers and put it to good use in your professional careers and in society,” has declared Nicolas Kinduelo Ndombasi, acting administrator of the Muanda territory. “To those who are about to enter the world of work or continue their studies, I wish you the best of luck. Be representatives of the Republic, for it needs you for its future,” he has added.
The Acting Administrator Ndombasi has urged the graduates to demonstrate responsibility within society by putting the knowledge acquired during their studies to good use, whilst emphasising the importance of the role of young people in the country’s future. For his part, Professor Didier Oswes, rector of CEPROMAD University in Muanda, has emphasised the need for students to supplement the teaching they receive with independent research in order to further develop their knowledge. “The LMD system is not designed for the student to spend a great deal of time in the lecture theatre. At most, he should spend four hours there and devote another four to research,” he has explained, emphasising the importance of independence and research in university education.
The rector has noted that this approach aims, in particular, to prepare students to become professionals capable of applying their skills beyond the theoretical knowledge acquired in lecture theatres. The graduation certificate ceremony has been marked by the awarding of these diplomas to 124 graduates, including 30 from the General Nursing programme, 10 from Midwifery, 9 from Medical Biology, 24 from Management, 7 from Customs and Excise, 22 from Business IT, 8 from Maintenance Technology, 5 from Oil and Gas, 2 from Natural Resource Management (Agronomy & Environment), 2 from Public Law, 3 from Private Law and 2 from Financial Management, it is reported.
