Uniffac U-17: DRC-Cameroon Final Set for Friday

Kinshasa, February 26th, 2026 (CPA). – The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), host country, and Cameroon are scheduled to face each other on Friday at the Tata Raphaël Stadium in Kinshasa in the final of the Under-17 tournament of the Central African Football Federations’ Union (Uniffac), according to the competition’s official fixture list. The kick-off of the decisive match is set for 4:00 p.m. local time. The final will oppose the two teams that won their opening matches, namely the Leopards U-17 of the DRC and the Indomitable Lions U-17 of Cameroon. Statistics show that both sides recorded convincing victories in their respective outings.

Cameroon defeated the Central African Republic 5-1 before overcoming Gabon 2-0, totaling six points from two matches, with seven goals scored and one conceded, for a goal difference of +6.

Similarly, the Congolese side secured two successive wins. The national eleven first beat Gabon 3-1 before edging the Central African Republic 2-1. After two matches, the DRC has accumulated six points, with five goals scored and two conceded, for a goal difference of +3. Beyond the qualification already secured by both teams for the continental final phase of the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations, the stake of the final lies in determining first and second place in the standings. In case of a draw, the pre-match ranking will prevail, although both teams would move to seven points after three matches. Earlier in the day, the Central African Republic and Gabon, both without points after two matches, will compete for third place. The winner will conclude the Kinshasa campaign in third position, while the loser will finish at the bottom of the table.
