Reddy Amisi in Concert on March 7th in Brussels to Celebrate Women

Kinshasa, February 26th, 2026 (CPA) . – Congolese singer Reddy Amisi confirmed on Wednesday, via his various social media platforms, his participation in a musical evening scheduled for March 7th in Brussels (Belgium), ahead of the celebration of International Women’s Rights Day. “Our next appointment will be on March 7th, 2026 in Brussels, as part of International Women’s Rights Day,” the singer wrote. Delighted to be invited to perform at the event, dubbed the “first edition of Festi-Femmes(Festi -Women),” the artist promised his fans quality acoustic music. The leader of the group “La Casa Do Canto” is also expected on May 30th, at the initiative of the Museum of the Quai Branly – Jacques Chirac in Paris (France), to perform at a tribute concert in honor of the late Papa Wemba, an iconic figure of Congolese rumba, shortly after his show scheduled for May 16th in London (United Kingdom). Born in Kinshasa, Rémy Namwisi Ngoy, known as Reddy Amisi, began his musical career in 1975 within the group Chem Chem Yetu.

Between 1976 and 1980, he performed in several musical groups, including Sambole Master Ngombe, No Lingwala, Juvenil and Likamuisi. Through Koffi Olomidé, his talent was discovered by Papa Wemba, who integrated him into the orchestra Viva La Musica, where he performed from 1982 to 2001. The singer has since continued his artistic journey with consistency, writing songs with strong moral and social messages. He has left his mark on Congolese music through several hit songs, including “Bomengo ata kala(Even ever Richness will join),” “Sala keba,(Pay Attention)” “Orphelin(Orphan),” “Profitez!(Get profit)” and “Étoile (Star).”
