US$1,000,000 from the Investment Group to improve food security in the DRC

Kinshasa, April 12th, 2026 (CPA). – USD 1,000,000 (one million US dollars) of the Investment Group’s own funds has been injected to improve food security in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), deemed as a national emergency, during an event on Saturday in Kinshasa, the country’s capital. “We have spared our finances to carry out this stroke of genius, because our love and concern for meeting the expectations of the President of the Republic, Felix Tshisekedi Tshilombo, in the fight against famine take precedence over our own comfort margins,” has declared Blaise Loko, Chief Executive Officer of the “Investment Group”.

“By prioritising this project at the expense of other internal expenditure, we are issuing a barely veiled challenge to the Congolese authorities, as Congolese entrepreneurs are capable of working wonders once they are given the right conditions,” he has added. The Congolese private sector has just taken a decisive step forward in its commitment to national development. This private pre-financing strategy holds the government to its responsibilities to finalise this historic contract and ensure that these efforts are not in vain.
