Pascal Lokua Kanza launches his new album « Moko » on April 21st

Kinshasa, April 13th, 2021 (CPA) – Congolese singer, guitarist and composer Pascal Lokua Kanza will launch on April 21st, his new album entitled « Moko » on all mobile download platforms, according to an announcement of the artist published on Sunday in social networks.

According to him, « Moko » an opus of 14 titles, produced with the aim of reconnecting with his fanatics, after several years of absence from his production on the record market, before reporting that the date of April 21st, has been withheld because it coincides with her birthday.

Pascal Lokwa Kanza, guitarist, singer and arranger, born in Sud Kivu, began his first steps in music, in Kinshasa, in church choirs, before meeting his first teammate, pianist Ray Lema.

Later in 1984, after a time of performance next to the singer Abeti Masikini, the artist decided to train in jazz music with Pierre Cullaz, in Paris.

He was the one who arranged the album « Emotion » by musician Papa Wemba in collaboration with saxophonist Manu Dibango and singer Angelique Kidjo.

To his credit, Lokwa Kanza is the author of several albums produced in various languages ​​including Swahili, Kinyarwanda, Lingala, French and English. He also has « featurings » with several internationally renowned artists, like the South African diva Miriam Makeba and Denis Amar in the making of the soundtrack to the film « Saraka Bô » (1996), by Gerald Toto and Richard Bona in the album « Toto Bona Lokua » (2007), as well as by Koffi Olomide, in the album « Daiabolos » (2008).
