Nord Kivu, May 3rd, 2021 (CPA).– The national union force (FOSYNAT) / Nord Kivu denounced over the weekend the creation of a new sub-division of primary, secondary and technical education in Mwesso in Masisi territory.
The president of this teachers’ union, Innocent Bahala Shamavu, wonders why to create eight sub-divisions of Primary, Secondary and Technical Education (EPST) in one territory, when five of them function with difficulty.
According to this trade unionist, the motives behind the creation of this new management office are not known, while those that already exist are having difficulty operating because of payment irregularities.
He added that the educational province of Nord Kivu 3, from which this new sub-division emanates, is already « crammed with schools and fictitious agents », a problem that has not yet been resolved.
« We wish to raise a cry of alarm, because we recently installed an office of the sub-division of Masisi 7. All this to inflate the strength of the new units (NU) », he said.
This new sub-division, he said Bahala, was created by the ministerial decree of April 1st, 2021 signed by the former national minister of EPST, Willy Bakonga.
In addition, this trade unionist who has returned from a grooming mission in the educational entities of Nord Kivu, has detected fictitious agents, irregularities and to do this, an audit will be carried out in all the management offices, we inform. ACP
