Commemoration in Kinshasa of 90 years of age of the bishop emeritus of the diocese of Idiofa, Bishop Louis Mbwol

Kinshasa, May 23th, 2021 (CPA).- Nationals of the diocese of Idiofa residing in Kinshasa celebrated, on Pentecost Sunday 2021 at the diocesan house of Funa, in the town of Limete, the ninety years of age of Bishop Louis Mbwol Mpasi, bishop emeritus of this ecclesiastical entity, during a thanksgiving mass presided over by Mgr Théodore Mudisi, professor emeritus of the UCC. In his homily taken from the readings of the holy scriptures of the day, Father Alain Lanets qualified as a gift from God the longevity of the life of Bishop Mbwol who led the diocese in the spirit of Pentecost, in unity, justice. and brotherhood. “’Like the apostles who came out of their torpor on the day of Pentecost to preach the Lord courageously in all languages, our community needs another Pentecost to preach God with love, in union, c ‘is what Bishop Mbwol was in all the ministries he exercised until the bishopric, ”said Father Lanets. For his part, the first Advocate General Emeritus, Rémy Mupier, on behalf of the family, drew up the curriculum vitae of the retired prelate in great detail, from primary school in Ipamu, to priestly ordination in Lesotho in South Africa through the minor seminary in Laba, before the crowning of this eulogistic itinerary by episcopal ordination in the diocese of Isangi, in the ecclesiastical province of Kisangani. Closing the series of interventions of the day, Bishop Mbwol, by way of testament and very moved by the surprise reserved for him, recommended to all nationals of Idiofa in the diaspora, to make their contributions for the construction of the diocese in these times of great crisis, before requesting their indulgences for errors which he would have committed in his management during his episcopate. Previously, the national deputy Richard Nambe Wolgan had announced to the community of Idea the decision taken by the elected representatives of the people of Idea to build a parish in Bulwer, the area of ​​origin of Bishop Bowl, in the province of Kwilu, which will be baptized “Parish Saint Louis” in memory of Bishop Mbwo, which will be inaugurated in two years, according to the initiators of the project. Father Bonaventure Kangamotema, rector of this diocesan house and organizer of this ceremony, thanked the participants for having responded to his invitation, before exhorting them to unity and fraternal communion.
