Kikwit, May 29th, 2021 (CPA).- The heads of establishments of the Catholic approved schools of Kikwit-center, were made aware of the school civil insurance, during a meeting held recently at the Sainte-Marie parish hall, in the commune of Nzinda, chaired by Father Magloire Mangala, coordinator of the Catholic approved schools of greater Bandundu. He informed the audience that this awareness is the initiative of the National Episcopal Conference of Congo (CENCO), as part of the protection of students at the risk of accident, incident at school, on the way to school.
He took the opportunity to declare that SONAS does not act in the event of an accident for students who have not paid the money.
This is how CENCO, through its insured agent service, thinks about the enrollment of students of Catholic education in an insurance structure called (School Civil Liability Activa), for an amount of 4 USD. This amount was considered exorbitant by the heads of establishments of Kikwit. The same awareness campaign will continue in the other dioceses of Kwilu and Grand Bandundu. Calling on ECCATH / Kikwit heads of establishments to ban anti-values in their schools. In addition, the abbot provincial coordinator of the greater Bandundu, Magloire Mangala launched an appeal to the heads of establishments of his jurisdiction to ban the anti-values in their respective schools in order to meet the requirement of the Catholic Christian morality advocated by the CENCO.
The abbot coordinator who launched this call during the same session, underlined that it will be necessary to take into account the capacity of each student instead of favoring some to the detriment of others, while insisting on good management in the schools, before informing his interlocutors that the Head of State Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, does not tolerate anti-values, in particular the embezzlement of public funds, fraud etc. ACP/Fng/nig
