DRC-Rwanda: the signing of the Washington agreement, an act of great diplomatic significance (President of the Provincial Assembly of Kasai Central)

Kananga,  December 8^th, 2025 (CPA) – The signing of the Washington Agreement between the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda is a highly significant diplomatic act, has indicated the President of the Provincial Assembly of Kasai Central, in the centre of the country, in a message of congratulations to the Head of State, received on Monday  by CPA. ‘This act of great diplomatic significance is the crowning achievement of a struggle waged with consistency, courage and wisdom since your accession to the highest office in the country,’ Guy Sabangu Kashala, President of the Provincial Assembly of Kasai Central, has revealed in his message. ‘It symbolises your unwavering commitment to peace, stability and the territorial integrity of our beloved nation,’ he has added. Through this diplomatic breakthrough, he has continued, the Head of State has turned a painful page on more than 30 years of suffering, violence and insecurity imposed on the east of our country. For the president of the provincial assembly of Kasaï Central, the Head of State has thus restored hope to thousands of compatriots and the entire nation by demonstrating that peace is possible when political will meets the determination of a true leader. He has prayed to Almighty God to grant health, wisdom and protection to President Tshisekedi Tshilombo in this noble and tireless struggle for the future and dignity of the Congolese people.
