Kinshasa: Payroll Processing for Urban Public Administration Employees Begins Thursday

Kinshasa, July 22nd, 2026 (CPA).- The start of payroll operations for employees and officials of the urban public administration of Kinshasa, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), was announced for Thursday in a press release from the Provincial Ministry of Budget reviewed by the CPA on Wednesday.

“Civil servants in decentralized departments working within the Kinshasa urban administration who are eligible for the city bonus are hereby notified that payroll operations will begin this Thursday, July 23, 2026,” read in the statement.

According to the document, these operations will be carried out at all payroll sites designated for this purpose, including: Wangata; Kin-Mazière; 1st Street Limete; and 5th Street Limete.

The text noted that these operations will be combined with a physical and administrative identification process to be conducted by the Kinshasa Provincial Agency for Digital Development (APDNK), with support from the Urban Inter-Union of the City of Kinshasa’s Public Administration.

The source reiterated that each affected urban public employee is required to report in person to their payroll office, bringing the following documents: a valid voter registration card, driver’s license, or passport; the appointment letter or the decree of admission to civil service status; the assignment commission of the City of Kinshasa; a letter of appointment duly signed for the new units (N.U.) by the provincial minister responsible for the civil service.

This identification process, the source continued, aims to clean up and ensure the reliability of the payroll records for urban public employees of the City of Kinshasa and therefore requires the presentation of the necessary documents as well as the physical presence of each eligible employee.ACP/
