PDL-145T: Second funding requested for full implementation of the project (Member of Parliament)

Kinshasa, May 11th, 2026 (CPA). – A second round of funding for the PDL-145 Territories project in the Democratic Republic of Congo was requested Monday in Kinshasa, the country’s capital, by a national MP elected from the Mushie constituency in Maï-Ndombe province, to ensure the full implementation of the said project, during an interview with CPA. “I urge the government to provide a second round of funding for the 145 Territories project to ensure the full execution of this program, whose expected results have not yet been achieved. A second allocation is therefore necessary to complete the unfinished components,” declared Freddy Bonzeke, national MP elected from the Mushie constituency in Maï-Ndombe province. According to him, road rehabilitation remains a priority in order to facilitate the transportation of materials, as well as the movement of people and their goods. He also called for a mid-term evaluation of the project in order to address possible challenges encountered on the ground. For the Member of Parliament, the Local Development Program for the 145 Territories (PDL-145T) is the first project of such magnitude initiated by the government for the construction of basic infrastructure in the provinces, notably administrative buildings, health centers and schools. The Mushie elected representative in Maï-Ndombe praised the commitment of the President of the Republic, Félix Tshisekedi, to the implementation of the project, which he said would enhance connectivity between cities and provinces for the socio-economic growth of the DRC. “I commend the guidance given to the government by the Head of State, our authority of reference, for the smooth functioning of national life and for addressing the socio-economic challenges facing our provinces,” he stressed. It should be noted that this interview followed the press conference held by the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo on May 6th in Kinshasa.
