Campaign to recover unregistered children on time in Boma

Boma, July 24th, 2021 (CPA).- The NGO Action ‘accompaniment of the indigent of the world in emergence (AIME) recently launched in Boma a campaign to recover children not registered at the civil status offices within the legal period of 90 days , said recently during an interview, Christophe Nzinga, project manager of this NGO in Boma.

This campaign aims to facilitate parents in this category

of children to obtain in a reasonable time and inexpensively the supplementary judgments in the court of peace in order to register their children in the civil registry.

Nzinga shared the observation that several parents manage to abandon civil status registration as soon as they are no longer within the time limit following the cost and the procedure for obtaining the supplementary judgment, which, has t – he points out, is very harmful for the citizenship of the child.

This recovery campaign, which runs from June 15 to August 15, 2021, benefits from the partnership of the Boma Peace Court with financial support from UNICEF. ACP/Fng/nig
