Central Kasai: Medical ambulances donated to a healthcare facility in Kananga

Kananga, September 15th, 2025 (CPA).-Two medical ambulances were donated on Monday during a ceremony at the José Oudney Hospital in Kananga, Central Kasai, in the centre of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), in order to optimise the chances of survival and recovery for patients in distress. ‘…Beyond all other considerations, these ambulances, donated by the Social Development Centre (SDC), are genuine medical care units that will optimise the chances of survival and recovery for patients in distress,’ has declared José Ndaye Tubenzele, promoter of this organisation. He has repeated: ‘This donation also offers multiple benefits, including reducing travel time and making the difference between life and death.’ The same is true, José Ndaye Tubenzele emphasised, of speeding up patient care in the event of evacuation from remote areas or outside inter-hospital transport. Equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment, these ambulances enable emergency care to be provided at the scene of the accident, ‘with the medical staff on board able to stabilise the patient, administer care, monitor their vital signs and thus transform the journey into an extension of the emergency room’. Mr Joseph Moïse Kambulu Nkonko, Governor of Kasaï Central, who presided over the ceremony, in turn donated a refrigeration unit to the health facility for the preservation of blood for the treatment of patients.
