Lubumbashi, November 3rd, 2026 (CPA).- The Ambassador of Greece to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Antonios Papadopoulos, on Tuesday reaffirmed his country’s interest in strengthening its cooperation relations with Haut-Katanga Province, in the south-eastern part of the country, following talks with Acting Governor Martin Kazembe in Lubumbashi.
“On the occasion of the commemoration of the Greek National Day, celebrated on October 28th in Lubumbashi, we wanted to demonstrate the importance we attach to strengthening relations between Greece and Haut-Katanga Province, which are currently very good,” the Greek diplomat said.
The discussions between the two officials also focused on prospects for consolidating bilateral cooperation, particularly in the economic and cultural fields, with a view to promoting common interests and contributing to the development of the populations on both sides.
This meeting reflects the willingness of both parties to maintain and strengthen their cooperation relations, particularly by exploring new partnership opportunities. ACP/
