The cartoonist Bathy Asimba announces the presentation of his book « Lumumba: un homme, une histoire, un destin »

Kinshasa, April 21nd, 2021 (CPA).- The cartoonist Bathy Asimba, announced by his “Facebook” account, the presentation next Saturday of his comic strip called “Lumumba: un homme, une histoire, un destin” in space bilembo. « For the author, this day will consist of the sale of this book and will allow buyers to say a few words relating to the main character of the book on the guest book and dedications. Released this year, the band, the comic book relates the life of the very first Congolese minister, the late Patrice Lumumba, in particular his birth, his education and his adolescence. The cartoonist Asimba is a graduate of Scientific Humanities and continued his studies in advertising at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kinshasa ( ABA), in 1979.

He will accumulate various patents which will make him a professional in communication in the press and has launched various magazines and collaborates with various newspapers in Kinshasa. He created the organization of reunited artists (OAR), « BED’ART » studios, as well as BD creation workshop. In 2007, he published a new comic strip magazine called “Chaleur Tropicale” and coordinated “BD-KIN-Label” association which had already published 12 issues of its new “in-Label” magazine with boards from comic strip artists. They are Jason Kibiswa, Hissa Nsoli, Djemba Djeis Isumo, Charly Tchimpaka, Luba Ntolila, AbelleBowala, Cap, Lepa Saye, Jules Baïsolé, Séraphin Kajimbwami and others. Currently, this association « BD-Kin-Label » is supported by Africalia and collaborates in partnership with « Africultures » for the creation of a portal on the net. ACP/
