Real estate projects in the DRC at the center of an exchange of views between Pius Muabilu and the Emaar Group in Dubai

Kinshasa, October 5th, 2021 (CPA).– The Minister of State in charge of Town Planning and Housing, Pius Muabilu Mbayu, and his colleague from Land Affairs, Aimé Molendo Sakombi, who are staying in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, have exchanged views on Sunday, with the head of the Emaar Group, Jamal Bin Thaniah, one of the major real estate developers in Dubai, on real estate projects in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), the CPA learned on Monday from the ministry of Urbanism and habitat.

According to the source, the two members of the government took the opportunity to present the project and the various assets, in terms of investments, presented by the DRC.

For his part, Mr. Jamal Bin Thaniah welcomed the opportunity offered by the two Congolese ministers to come and invest in the DRC. “There will be a new chapter for the DRC with the new relations and the new initiatives that President Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo is taking. Beyond the intentions, it is time to seal the relations between our two entities which must materialize by achievements on the ground ”, declared the person in charge of the Emaar Group.

He praised a new dynamic of change which was taking hold in the DRC before declaring: « I came regularly to your country, without being received by the authorities. This time I see and feel that things have changed. It is therefore high time for us to invest in the DRC, a country of over 70,000,000 (seventy million) inhabitants and abounding in enormous resources.

The Emaar Group, specializing in the construction of modern cities, is present in several countries, in particular the United States, Turkey, China, Pakistani and India, it is recalled.ACP/
