Election this Saturday of the 1st vice-president of the final office of the Senate

Kinshasa, June 12th, 2021 (CPA).- Senators vote this Saturday for the new first vice-president of the final office of the upper chamber of Parliament according to the schedule set up for this purpose.

The intervention of Senator Eddy Mundela Kanku, sole candidate for this post and member of the Sacred Union for the Nation, closed Thursday, at the People’s Palace, the hearing of the electoral campaign messages.

According to this elected representative of Kasai Oriental, the objective of his candidacy is to implement the reforms initiated as part of the vision of the Head of State Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo.

Senator Mundela thus intends to contribute effectively to the improvement of good governance in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, in order to provide concrete solutions to the legitimate aspirations of the Congolese people.

« United to succeed, to serve the nation together, it is possible, » he added.

And Mundela believes that the Senate is the appropriate chamber for the implementation of the positive actions of the Head of State, because it has within it personalities whose experience « naturally places them at the heart of the strategic reflections of which the country has so much. need to base one’s ambition on realistic bases ”.

The potential successor of Samy Badibanga Ntita, who resigned at the start of the ordinary session last March, suggested to the senators of the Senate that he holds a doctorate degree in biomedical sciences from the faculty of medicine of the University of Kinshasa and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the Faculty of Economics of the Protestant University in Congo.
