Kinshasa, January 20th, 2026 (CPA).- The reign of justice to enjoy perfect, lasting and grace-filled peace has been implored on Tuesday by the national president of the Church of Christ in Congo (ECC) at the close of the first council of pastors of Kinshasa (Copak) in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
« May your reign come, Lord, so that your peace, which surpasses all understanding, may fill our troubled hearts and drive away the darkness of hatred, anger and discord. In a world marked by conflict and injustice, we pray that your reign of justice and love will transform our lives, our families and our nations, and that we may enjoy perfect, lasting and grace-filled peace, » has declared Andre Gedeon Bokundoa-Bo-Likabe, national president of the ECC. He has also asked God to grant his people the fruits of peace and prosperity at the end of this meeting, whose theme was ‘God’s reign, our priority, our responsibility and our commitment’.
« I am happy to be among you today. Thank you for your hospitality! May God bless us and grant us the fruits of peace and prosperity as we gather to pray for our country. Like a fire that burns when large and small pieces of wood are gathered together, our prayers, when we gather in large numbers, become powerful. May God answer our prayers and bless our country, » he has indicated.

For his part, Pastor Cyrille Alenge has invited his peers to place the reign of God at the centre of their lives, making the Lord their priority and their daily responsibility. ‘Seeking His justice involves a constant commitment to live according to the values of the Kingdom, to bear witness to them through our actions, and to trust in God,’ he has specified. COPAK is a religious structure that brings together the leaders and heads of the various Protestant churches affiliated with the Church of Christ in Congo (ECC), created to promote fellowship, cohesion and collaboration among the pastors of Kinshasa. It has for its main objective to promote unity, theological reflection and community engagement. This organisation also serves as a platform for discussing the spiritual, social and pastoral challenges facing Protestant churches.
