Media: CPA extends its partnerships with Viory, Abu Dhabi

Kinshasa, September 16th, 2025 (CPA).- The Congolese Press Agency (CPA) of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has signed a partnership agreement on Monday with Viory, an international video agency based in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. ‘It was also important for us, as CPA, that our products be consumed outside the country.

And Viory has the ability, with its network, to ensure that CPA products, all the work, all the videos we produce, can be exploited across the African continent and the world,’ has said Bienvenu-Marie Bakumanya, General Director of CPA. After Algeria Press Service (APS), Maghreb Arab Press (MAP), Xinhua, Belga, the Burundian Press Agency (ABP) and many others, CPA has expanded its partnership network in the Global South through Viory.

According to Ms Zulayho Siddikova, General Director of the Viory agency, the aim of this partnership is to highlight the voices and perspectives of developing countries on the global media scene. Mr Bakumanya has specified that ‘in a rapidly changing media landscape, where access to quality content remains a challenge for many African agencies, the Congolese Press Agency has taken a strategic step forward by signing with Viory’. CPA has paved the way for a new era of cooperation without barriers or copyright, has explained its General Director.

« This partnership, based on the free sharing of content, marks a major step forward for the visibility of the Democratic Republic of Congo on the world stage. But beyond technical exchanges, it is an ambitious goal: to be present where we are not expected, where international standards dictate the rules of the game, » has also said General Director Bakumanya. Since taking over at the head of the Congolese Press Agency, the new management team has been steadily building partnerships for the benefit of this public media outlet. These partnerships contribute to the influence of this official agency of DRC. Hence, the partnership concluded with Viory is, for CPA, ‘a door opening onto new horizons to make itself known and attract opportunities’. In this context, CPA affirms its desire to position itself as a partner capable of producing quality content that meets international standards.
