Companies working in the industrial exploitation of forests in the DRC advocate compliance with the laws governing the environmental sector

Kinshasa, June 12, 2021 (CPA).- The consortium of companies working in the industrial exploitation of forests in the DRC intends to support the Ministry of the Environment and Sustainable Development for the respect of the laws governing this sector, indicated the coordinator of this consortium, Ghislain Kikudji Nduba, after a hearing granted to him Thursday in his office by the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of this ministry, Eve Bazaiba.

Mr. Kikudji Nduba, who was received by Ms. Eve Bazaiba on the sidelines of the general environmental meetings, suggested that his consortium wishes to make its contribution to respect for the laws in order to find solutions to problems relating to the environment. and sustainable development in this country in line with the decade of ecosystem restoration recently launched by the Minister of the Environment.

“The environment is a highly regulated sector, there are laws that accompany and regulate this sector. One of the means of supporting Deputy Prime Minister Eve Bazaiba is to invest ourselves in respecting the law governing this sector, ”he added. ACP/
